Kenneth Allen Koskinen, age 45 of Hibbing died Thursday, April 21, 2011 in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. He was born June 27, 1965 in Hibbing, the son of Peter K. and Phillis (Wesley) Koskinen, Sr. and was a graduate of Hibbing High School. Ken lived in Sartell, MN, Minneapolis, MN and Dillingham, AK prior to returning to Hibbing. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hibbing, and was self-employed. Ken was a lifelong hunter and fisherman.
Ken is survived by his father: Peter K. Koskinen, Sr.; a daughter: Kirsten Koskinen of Sartell, MN; Stepsons Andrew and Joseph Gedker of Sartell, Mn; brothers: Peter (Terri) Koskinen, Jr. of Superior, WI and Kurt W( Wendy ). Koskinen of Clearwater, FL; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phillis and an infant sister: Barbara Lee Koskinen.
A Gathering Time for Family and Friends will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Memorial Service in the Anderson Daniels Funeral Home Chapel in Hibbing. Pastor Erik Holleque will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Hibbing Park Maple Hill Cemetery.
