Kimberly Paulette Grew, age 51 of Virginia died tragically, on August 13, 2011. She was born May 17, 1960 on Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, the daughter of Richard and Loretta (Witt) Linders. As the daughter of Air Force parents, Kim lived in New Mexico, Japan, Alaska, Florida, Montana, and Texas. She married Brian John Grew on May 27, 1978 in Virginia and has lived in Virginia since then. Kim was employed by Target as a Guest Services Team Leader in Virginia. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Virginia Early Bird Bowling League, enjoyed golfing and loved to travel. Kim cherished her time spent with her family and friends.
Kim is survived by her parents: Richard and Loretta Linders; children: Raeann Grew of Maple Grove, MN, Christopher (Amanda) Grew of Big Lake, MN and Daniel (fiancée Sharda Whitticker) Grew of Hopkins, MN; grandchildren: Carsyn and Alec Grew; siblings: Randy (Mary Jo Palvere) Linders of Eveleth and Cindy (Craig) Laakkonen of West Eveleth; uncles and aunts: Paul (Linda) Witt and Ray (Jan) Witt; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A Gathering Time for Family and Friends will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. The gathering time will continue Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Memorial Mass in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virginia. Reverend Father John O'Donnell will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Eveleth Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred.
