Lois Kay (Myers) Donahue, age 56 of Winton, passed away April 25, 2013 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born July 30, 1956 the daughter of James and Elizabeth Myers formerly of Sanford, Michigan; and was a graduate of Bullet Creek High School. She married James Donahue, and was a loving wife for almost 39 years. She was a wonderful mother to not only her children, but to many others throughout the years who considered her a second Mom. She enjoyed being with children, fishing, reading, and a good conversation.
Lois is survived by her husband: James; daughters: Jamie Donahue and Jill (Chad Nelson) Voerste; her grandson she raised as a son: Joshua Donahue; grandchildren: Myranda, Trevor, and Lacey; siblings: James Myers, Jr., Jeff (Chris) Myers, Susie Nicholson, Lori Ann Chalifoux, Connie Myers, Milly (Tom) Krotzer, John (Lori) Myers, and Bill Joe (Sandy) Myers; a special uncle: Jerry Myers; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. Lois wanted everyone to know, in her own words," I love God."
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Larry Myers and Jane Schafer.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 12 Noon until the 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service in the Winton Community Church. Pastor John Bonk will officiate. Interment will be in the Ely Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
