Lucille T. Erchul, age 82 of Virginia died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in her home. She was born December 19, 1932 in Virginia the daughter of Frank and Rosalie (Lasky) Andrezcjczyk. Lucille was employed as a telephone operator in Virginia, transferred to Los Angeles, and later returned to Virginia. She married Donald J. Erchul on November 13, 1954 in St. John's Catholic Church in Virginia. They lived in Soudan for many years where Lucille was a member of the Women of the Moose, the Catholic Women's Council and taught catechism classes. They returned to Virginia in 1969 and Lucille worked at the Virginia Regional Medical Center as a Nurse's Aide in the Intensive Care Unit. Lucille loved flowers and was an avid gardener; she enjoyed the company of her dogs & cats, fishing, partridge hunting, camping, riding a Harley Davidson with Don, and was a crossword puzzle whiz. She was an excellent cook and baker and was a wonderful wife and mother.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 61 years: Don; children: Don (Chris) Erchul, Jr. of Farmington, MaryBeth Erchul of Virginia and Steven (Sandra) Erchul of Stillwater; grandchildren: Heather, Tara (Nick Chaix), Sean (Leah), Jessica, MacKenzie, Lindsey (Andy) Heisel, Cory, Carli, and Katie; great-grandchildren: Brynley, Taylor, Bryar, Bristyl, Bailey, Grant, and Brooklyn; sister: Helen (Bill) Mell of Virginia; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Narzis Andrezcjczyk, Stella Evans, and Frank Andrezcjczyk.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia. Reverend Father Brandon Moravitz will celebrate the Mass. A gathering time for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. Inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
