Margurette Lees, age 56, of Keewatin, MN, and formerly of Philadelphia, PA, Texas, Chisholm and Hibbing, died Monday, May 18, 2009 in Keewatin. She was born July 12, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Arthur and Eunice (Ireland) Lees.
Margurette was a homemaker. She was also a cook at various restaurants in her younger years. She enjoyed crocheting. Margurette was very religious.
She is survived by her fiancé: Rick Gorden; her children Ernie & Tiara Aikey of Hibbing, Pat Aikey of Hibbng, Lisa Nickerson of Hibbing, Scott Aikey of Hibbing, James Aikey of Mt. Iron, Caroline Aikey of Hibbing, Anthony Aikey of Hibbing, and Elizabeth Aikey of Hibbing; siblings: Bob Lees of Hibbing, Joe Lees of Hibbing, Larry & Denise Lees of Elk River, MN, Don Lees of Hibbing, Richard & Sherri Lees of Hibbing, Gordon Ireland of San Antonio, TX; and 21 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; and 2 nieces.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Immaculate Conception Church in Hibbing. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
