Marie Pimental, age 95, of Virginia and formerly of Woonsocket, RI, and Germany, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at Essentia Health Virginia Care Center. She was born January 28, 1920, in Bamberg, Germany, the daughter of George and Emma Frevel. She graduated from High School in Bamberg and went on to receive a degree as a Dental Hygienist. A veteran of the US Army, Marie served as a Dental Assistant during WWII in Germany. Marie was united in marriage to Nelson Francis Pimental on the US Army Base in Bamberg, Germany in 1950.
Marie worked as a Nurse's Aide, and a homemaker. She was a Member of VFW Post #7 in Woonsocket, RI and also Belham-Duhamel Post #62. She was a co-member with her husband of the Knights of Columbus.
Marie is survived by three children: Marion Penoncello (Rolland Bennett) of Iron, MN, Ingrid Robertson of Cumberland, MD, and Manuel F. Pimental (Tina Hammons) of Virginia; a niece: Hildegard Royse of Bamberg, Germany; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Nelson; four sisters; one brother; and her son: Nelson F. Pimental, Jr.
At Marie's request, no services will be held.
