Obituary

Marjorie Ann Stahl, 87 of Britt, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the St. Mary's Hospice Unit, Virginia Regional Medical Center. She was born November 23, 1921, in Virginia, the daughter of Russell Williams and Alma (Anderson) Michaels. She graduated from Virginia High School, Virginia Junior College, and the Cosmopolitan School of Music in Chicago, IL, while working for the United States Treasury Department. She was united in marriage on January 3, 1946 to Raymond C. Stahl. She was a loving stay-at-home mom, but also, taught voice and piano from her home. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church for many years where she taught Sunday School, directed and sang in the church choir, and was very active in Luther League. She was a past member of Mrs. Jaycees and was the author of their Creed. She was also a member of the Study Club and the Gideon's organization. In the last five years, she was a member of the Sand Lake Chapel, as it was closer to home.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond; sons, Russell (Patti Jo Delich) Stahl and Marshall Stahl, both of Eveleth; daughter, Melissa (Ken) Fishwick of Milford, MA; grandchildren, Matthew (Laura) Sharp, Nicholas Sharp, Benjamin Stahl, Jason Stahl, Justin Fishwick, Brandon Fishwick, and Venessa Fishwick; great-grandchildren, Eden Sharp, Aaron Sharp, and Luke Sharp; and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 23, 2009, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Services at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Virginia. Pastor Richard Lohry and Pastor Donald Norr will officiate. Private burial will be held at a later date.
