Marvin J. Rice, Jr. age 63, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Sunday, May 20, 2018, at the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. He was born August 17, 1954 in Hibbing, the son of Marvin Sr. and Shirley (Mills) Rice. He attended Hibbing High School and Hibbing Technical College.

Marvin worked as a computer technician for Qwest, retiring in 2000. Prior to that, he had been a self-employed OTR Truck Driver. He was an amateur radio operator, and enjoyed stock car racing, fishing and hunting.

Marvin is survived by his wife: Maria; sons: Adam (Tammy) Rice of Springfield, MO, and Michael (Lisa) Rice of Hibbing; siblings: Vickie Turner, Rosie Rice, Ernest Rice, and Jamie (Jack) Yost; and grandchildren: Alicia, Alexander, Robert, Destiny, and Gabriel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Frank; sister: Susan Rice; and infant son: Marvin III.

Visitation will be from 2pm until the 3pm Memorial Service Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be in the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery.
