Biography Mary Wiles Skubic, age 60, longtime resident of Virginia and formerly of St. Cloud, died peacefully Friday, May 18, 2012, in her home. She was born September 3, 1951, in Duluth, MN, the daughter of Roy and Gladys (Hocking) Wiles. She graduated from Virginia High School, and went on to attend the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. She was united in marriage to Dana Skubic on August 30, 1974 in St. Cloud.
Mary worked as a secretary for the Farmer's Insurance Agency in Virginia, as a flagman for Premier Aggregates, and as a Homemaker. She was a supporter of the Humane Society. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, reading, feeding the birds in winter, and watching politics on MSNBC.
Mary will be missed by her husband, Dana, numerous friends, and her canine companion, Sam. Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am memorial service Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Virginia. The Reverend Margaret W. Thomas will officiate. Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society, East Range Hospice, or St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
