Mary Agnes Voss, 92, of Virginia, died at St. Michael's Health and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, December 29th, 2010. She was born on November 3, l918, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She grew up in Virginia, Minnesota, graduated from Roosevelt High School, and attended Virginia Jr. College. In her younger years, Mary traveled and worked in various parts of the country, finally settling in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she worked for many years as a corporate director of human resources at Krelitz Industries. After retiring at the age of seventy, she returned to Virginia, where she was an active member in the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was a volunteer at the Marquette School. Mary had also served on the Virginia Police Commission and was a member of the Virginia Hospital Auxiliary. Mary was an avid reader and lover of the arts and travel. She found interest and enjoyed conversing with people on a variety of different subjects.
Mary is survived by her nephews Patrick Voss of Virginia and Michael (Ann) Voss of Mountain Iron, her grand-nephew Cory, and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Agnes Voss, and her brother and sister-in-law Jack and Roberta Voss.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Holy Spirit Church in Virginia, Minnesota, with Father John O'Donnell as celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
