Obituary

Mildred Dicklich, age 84, of Hibbing and formerly of Burnsville and Shoreview, MN, passed to the protection of the Lord Sunday, May 26, 2013, in the Home Sweet Home Adult Foster Care facility in Hibbing. She was born May 27, 1928 in Hibbing the daughter of Riley and Emilie (Denoo) Kelsey. She lived in Penobscott Location and North Hibbing. She was a graduate of Hibbing High School in 1946.
Mildred worked as a Telephone Operator for Northwestern Bell. She also worked as a seamstress and a bookkeeper/office manager for numerous businesses in Hibbing. She also worked for a time at the US Steel Minntac plant. In 1983 she moved to St. Paul and was employed by the Metropolitan Council until her retirement.
She was a pioneer member of St. Michael's Serbian Orthodox Church in Hibbing, and later the Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville. Mildred was a den mother for the Cub Scouts and a Brownie Leader, a member of the Greenhaven P.T.A., a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Shoreview, the Hibbing Curling Club, the BPW, the Municipal Golf Club, and various bowling leagues and bridge clubs.
Mildred was married to Bogdan Dicklich on June 25, 1950. Mildred is survived by their four children: Ronald Dicklich of Pengilly, MN, Donald Dicklich of Saginaw, MN, Diana Lynn (Paul) Broste of Vancouver, BC, and Cherilyn (Dan) McEnery of Savage, MN; a sister: Helen (Dwayne) Case of Sun City West, AZ; nine grandchildren: Julie, Rhonda, Thomas, Leanna, Gina, Dawn Michele, Emily, Katherine, and Mikayla; five great-grandchildren: Hannah, Anthony, Gabriella, Kennady, and Bella; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother: Robert Kelsey.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in St. Michael's Serbian Orthodox Church in Hibbing. The Reverend Vladimir Lange will officiate. Casketbearers will be: Rick Prebich, John Berklich, Rod Alstead, Tom Dicklich, Don Dicklich, Ron Dicklich, and Anthony Provinzino. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Michael's Serbian Orthodox Church.
