Mildred O'Connor, age 97 of Virginia, formerly of Hermantown, died Friday, September 17, 2021 in Memory Care at Care Free Living in Virginia.  She was born on January 14, 1924 in Proctor, the daughter of Andrew and Hedvig (Blomqvist) Lindgren.  She was a graduate of Proctor High School, and married William O'Connor on February 7, 1947.  Mildred was a longtime resident of Hermantown prior to moving to Virginia.  She worked in housekeeping at the Nopeming County Nursing Home for over 30 years.  She was a member of United Lutheran Church of Proctor, was a bowler and a High School Hockey fan.  She enjoyed baking, cooking and traveling.

Mildred is survived by her children:  Mary (Blaine) Ehrmantraut of Hayward, WI, and Michael (Jaleen) O'Connor of Virginia;  grandchildren:  Zachary (Amy) Ehrmantraut, Lisa (Ryan) Brobst, Brea (Tim) Applen, and Eric (Tonya) O'Connor;  8 great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  husband: William; and brothers:  William and Carl.

A family graveside service will be held at the Oneota Cemetery in Duluth.
