Molly Louise Anderson, age 97, longtime resident of Virginia died Friday, July 22, 2011 in St. Therese Nursing Home in New Hope, MN. She was born July 24, 1913 in Virginia, the daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Bahar) Jankovich, Sr.. She graduated from Virginia High School, and was united in marriage to Glenn R. Anderson on September 21, 1935 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Virginia.
Molly worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and the Foresters. She enjoyed fishing, berry picking, gardening, playing cards and spending time at her cabin on Lake Vermilion.
Molly is survived by her son: Robert G. (Sherry) Anderson of Brooklyn Park, MN; grandchildren: Peter G. (Emma Melcher) Anderson, Lisa M. (Charles) Scammahorn, and Robert M. Anderson; and great-grandchildren: Simon and Echo Scammahorn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Glenn; a brother: Nicholas, Jr.; and a sisters-in-law: Ann Jankovich and Lila M. Anderson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virginia. The Reverend John O'Donnell will be the celebrant. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia.
