The Heavenly chorus gained a new sparkly soprano December 5, 2017 when Nancy Sue (Lostrom) Shadle, 76 years young of Britt, passed peacefully through the pearly gates of Heaven.
Nancy was born in Virginia, MN on Oct. 14, 1941. She grew up in West Virginia, attended and graduated from Mt. Iron High School (1959). She was locally well known as an accomplished pianist, organist, and soloist, performed across the region at many events and celebrations. Nicknamed by her parents as "their little songbird" at age 5. She was an active member of the East Range Choral Society (Arrowhead Chorale), Community Theater productions, and additionally was a talented ice dancer. Nancy was a committed former member over the years of Hope Community Presbyterian Church, Emanuel Baptist Church, and Sand Lake Chapel. She and husband John owned and ran Northland Auto Parts(NAPA) in Cook, MN.
Nancy is Survived by husband of 54 years, John Shadle (Britt), two daughters Leah (Mike) Wilsey (Duluth), Lynn (Stan) Gabriel (Victoria), and four grandchildren: Ryan, Grant, Blake & Faith sister, Linnea Lostrom Wiita (Duluth), nieces: Sandra Larson, Kim Wiita, nephew Mike (Sarah) Larson
Great Aunts LaVerne Fulton (Peoria, AZ) & Lenore Emery, (Montana), and several cousins across the country and the rest of her family and friends she loved as family.
She was preceded in death by father, Ernest E. Lostrom (1965), mother, McLaren C. Lostrom (2005), brother Roger M. Lostrom (1984) and many aunts and uncles
Nancy had a strong Christian faith and used her musical gifts to glorify the Lord as well as to entertain. She took seriously the command to care for and love others faithfully visiting and tending to several family and friends over the years with her caring gentle spirit, always a smile on her face. She lived by example shining Jesus' light in everything she did. Nancy was a compassionate loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend who loved who loved her family and the Lord Jesus Christ with her whole heart and is rejoicing with Him!
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday December 11, 2017 at Bauman Cron Funeral Home at 516 South First Street, Virginia, MN 55792. Pastor Richard Lohry will officiate. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia. Please also join us for a time of visiting following the service for coffee 'an.
