Biography

Nicklaus M. Boerner, age 28, of the Virginia/Eveleth area died Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He was born June 7, 1988, in St. Paul, MN, the son of Lawrence and Dawn (Reppe) Boerner. He attended school in St. Paul and Rosemount.

Nick worked on several construction projects in Minnesota and abroad. He enjoyed working on vehicles, riding dirt-bikes, and spending time with family and friends.

Nick is survived by his mother: Dawn Boerner (Walter "Kidd" Fields) of Embarrass; his father: Lawrence Boerner, Jr. of St. Paul; his step-mother: Cindy Hoisington of St. Paul; his children: Hayden Boerner of Eveleth and Sophia Boerner of Forbes; his sisters: Jessica Boerner of Alexandria, Jennifer Boerner of St. Paul, and Sarah Boerner of St. Paul; his paternal grandparents: Lawrence (Gerry) Boerner, Sr.; 3 nieces: Haley, Savannah, and Kori; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Shirley (George) Winterlin, Pete (Sharon) DeMaio; and his aunt: Lorrie DeMaio; and his cousin: Scooby DeMaio.

A visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm memorial service Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Bridget Strudwick will be the officiant.
