Norman John Skur, aged 78, of Virginia, Minnesota died on Sunday March 15, 2026, at The Waterview Pines in Virginia. He was born on January 11, 1948, to George and Alice (Johnson) Skur. Norm graduated from Cook High School in 1966. On February 8, 1969, he married the love of his life Faith Svedberg in Cook, MN. Shortly after Norm and Faith moved to Virginia, MN.
Norm was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was respected in the automotive industry and a valued member of the community. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family and faith.
A devoted member of the Chisholm Baptist Church, Norm served as a deacon/elder and leading Bible study sessions that inspired many. The Lord and his faith was a guiding light in his life, and he approached every challenge with grace and humility. Norm was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing and hunting. He also loved attending sporting events. Norm lived a life rich in laughter, kindness, and unwavering dedication. Known for his infectious smile and generous spirit, he touched the lives of everyone he met.
Norm is survived by his loving wife: Faith; Children: Deborah(Roberto) Vazquez of Houston, TX, Darrin (Robyn) Skur of Colorado Springs, CO, David Skur of Virginia MN; Brother-In-Law: Harvey Wilder of Florida; Grandchildren: Cassandra (Carlos) Flores of Houston, TX, Robbie Vazquez, Houston, TX, Peyton (Becca) Skur Grand Junction, CO, Colson (Paige) Skur, Denver CO, Gabriel (Amber) Skur, Grand Junction, CO, Ainsley Skur, SD and 2 Great-grandchildren: Louise Skur and Joseph Skur and numerous extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by Parents; Brother: Allen Skur and Sister: Janet Wilder
Visitation will be held Saturday May 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm funeral service at Chisholm Baptist Church 5001 Hwy 5 Chisholm, MN.
