Olga Sigrid Langie Saltzman Pucel age 84 of Virginia and formerly of Chisholm and Squaw Lake died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Edgewood Vista Care Facility in Virginia, MN. She was born November 12, 1930 in Rosy, MN the daughter of Ole and K. Sophie (Westrem) Langie and attended school in Dunbar, MN. Olga was a well liked, friendly, giving person with a servant's heart. She enjoyed sewing crocheting, gardening, and cribbage. A visit to her home always included conversation and food. Olga was a former member of the Chisholm Women of the Moose.
Olga is survived by children: Karen Bontems of Mt. Iron, MN, Kathryn (Edd) Hobbs of Brigham City, UT, Darlene Saltzman of West Valley, UT, Debra Saltzman of Mt. Iron, MN, Marvin Saltzman of Mt. Iron, MN, Marilyn (Terry) Hawes of Tremonton, UT, Richard Saltzman of Tremonton, UT, Joel Sellars of Dark Lake, MN, Tammy Hansen of Brigham City, Utah, and Brian (Cindy) Pucel of Duluth, MN ; sisters: Gena Nelson of Squaw Lake, MN and Doris Nelson of Federal Way, WA; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Joe Pucel; daughters: Mary Louise Saltzman and Diane Marie Saltzman; grandsons: Michael Hobbs and Zackary Hawes; siblings: Palmer Langie, Thomas Langie, Arnie Langie, Reuben Langie, Benny Langie and Bernice McDonald.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service in the Chisholm Baptist Church. Pastor Mark Anderson will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Rosy Cemetery in Squaw Lake, MN. A gathering will be held following the interment at the Squaw Lake Community Center.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Edgewood Vista Care Facility and Hospice in Virginia who watched over Olga and provided her with care and comfort.
