Patricia Lou Benson, age 83, longtime resident of Hibbing died Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Bayshore Nursing Home in Duluth. She was born June 29, 1935 in Grand Rapids, MN, the daughter of Charles and Doris (Wicks) Barcus. She was a graduate of Grand Rapids High School. Patricia was united in marriage to Bradford E. Benson on October 23, 1954, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids.

Pat worked as a homemaker, as a secretary for the Superintendant of Schools in Grand Rapids, as a Tupperware Dealer, a School Bus Driver, and as a Volunteer Medical Driver. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hibbing, Job's Daughters, and was past Worthy Matron of the OES #211 in Hibbing. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the piano, sewing, cooking, traveling, fishing and camping.

Pat is survived by her husband: Brad; children: Steven (Anne) Benson of Burnsville, MN, Brent (Joelle) Benson of Portland, OR, and Coral (Tom) French of Ellicott City, MD; grandchildren: Brooke Benson, Marielle French, Tanner French, and Lilly French; great-grandchildren: Blake Jordan and Skye Benson; siblings: Jean Musolf and Carl (Audrey) Barcus; and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Rynelle Abdullah; and sister: Betty Thompson.

Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 am Memorial Service Thursday, November 29, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. Pastor Sarah Fike will officiate. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or the Epilepsy Foundation.
