Patricia Lynn Gillitzer, age 63, longtime resident of Hibbing died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic house fire. She was born March 17, 1954 in Arlington, MN the daughter of Elmer and Deloris (Weber) Ziegler. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and went on to receive her Associates degree as a Dental Assistant. She was united in marriage to Steven J. Gillitzer on October 9, 1976 at Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle, MN.

Pat worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Zakula in Hibbing – retiring in 2015. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bicycling, hiking, camping, and making handcrafts. She was active with the IRC Adventure Club.

Pat is survived by her children: Todd (Kristen) Gillitzer of Hibbing, Abby (Sam) Adams of Hibbing, and Terry (Dawn) Gillitzer of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; grandchildren: Jonathan Gillitzer, Behryn Gillitzer, Eli Peterlin, Chaym Adams, and Zaraely Adams; siblings: Marie (Gene) Obar of Eden Valley, MN, Richard (Jane) Ziegler of Norwood, MN, Betty (Ron) Rauschendorfer of Dassel, MN, David Ziegler of Waseca, MN, Judy (Clay) Miller of Green Isle, MN, Mark (Sandy) Ziegler of Buffalo, MN, Cindy (Rigo) Vasquez of Arlington, MN, Bruce (Paula) Ziegler of Mankato, MN, and Steve (Becky) Ziegler of Arlington, MN; and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Steve; and grandchildren: Todd Jacob Gillitzer, Jr., and Isaiah A. Adams.

A Celebration of Life for Pat and Steve will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 1-3 pm at the Hibbing Armory. A brief service will begin at 1 with the gathering of friends and family to follow.
