Patty I. Bowman, age 83, longtime resident of Hibbing died Monday, March 18, 2019, at Traditions II in Owatonna, MN.  She was born November 20, 1935 in Manly, IA, the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Coogan) Lake.  She was a graduate of Manly High School and went on to receive her BA in Education from Iowa State Teacher's College.  Patt was united in marriage to Larry R. Bowman in August of 1965.

Patt was a Science and Home Economics teacher at the Lincoln Jr. High School in Hibbing.  She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and ADK. Patt enjoyed nature – hunting, fishing camping and bird watching.  She loved to travel with friends and family.  Patt would often be heard whistling a tune or singing.

Patt is survived by her son: Lee (Jena) Bowman of Dundas, MN; grandchildren: Max,Eli, Tori and Ellie; and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Collette and Maryann; and her husband: Larry in 2006.

Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 am Memorial Service Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hibbing.  The Reverend Kevin Olson will officiate.
