Paul E. Nagel, age 69, of Ely and formerly of Harris, MN, died Friday, May 20, 2016, at Essentia Health – St. Mary's in Duluth. He was born December 16, 1946, in St. Paul the son of Garfield and Laura (Toensing) Nagel. He graduated from Mounds View High School and went on to get a technical degree as a machinist.

Paul worked as a machinist for FMC Corp. for over 30 years. He was an accomplished pianist and composer.

Paul is survived by two sisters: Janice (Robert) Erickson of Ely, MN, and Judith Nagel of Palm Springs, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife: Nancy.

A private interment will be held at the Incarnation Cemetery in Shoreview, MN.
