Paul Shain, age 75, lifelong resident of Hibbing, died Monday, October 29, 2012, in his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 24, 1937 in Carson Lake, the son of Peter and Frances (Klobuchar) Shain. He graduated from Hibbing High School, and served in the Army National Guard. Paul was united in marriage to Nancy Hardy on June 11, 1960 in Hibbing.
Paul worked for Eveleth Taconite until his retirement in 1996. He owned and operated Paul Shain and Sons until his death. He was a member of the Hibbing Elks and Moose clubs. His great joy was operating his business, and spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his wife: Nancy; children: Cynthia (Terry) Philips, Paul Jr., and Greg Shain, all of Hibbing; brother: Mike Shain of Hibbing; sisters: Mary Workman of Hibbing and Olga Fesnick of Buhl; numerous nieces and nephews, and his shop crew.

At Paul's request, a private family service will be held. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
