Phyllis (Lindgren) Chupurdia, age 73, longtime resident of Hibbing died peacefully in her home on November 18th surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 5, 1944 in Chisholm the daughter of Alden and Bonnie (Kirkman) Lindgren. She was a graduate of Chisholm High School, and X-Ray Technician training. She was united in marriage to Martin L. Chupurdia on September 28, 1968 in Hibbing. Phyllis' legacy is one of sustaining love and deep connection. A beloved wife of 49 years, an adored mother, a doting grandmother, and loyal friend, those that she loved will be forever better for it.

Phyllis worked as an X-Ray Technician at the Essentia Clinic in Hibbing, and is a retired Para-professional with the Hibbing School District. She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, and she enjoyed golfing, shopping, and spending time with her friends.

She is survived by her husband: Martin; daughter: Michele Stromgren (Andrew); son: Chad Chupurdia; brothers: David Lindgren (Geri), and Richard Lindgren; grandchildren: Sawyer and Sochi Stromgren; and a host of friends. She was an unwavering friend to so many who loved her fiercely in return. She had a smile and blue eyes that would light up every room. We are unbelievably blessed to call her wife, mom, grandma, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the 1:00pm Memorial Service Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be in the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery.
