Obituary

Renée Lucille Heisel, age 81, longtime resident of Virginia and Britt, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in Edgewood Vista in Virginia. She was born September 18, 1930, in Duluth, MN the daughter of Emil and Adeline (Stead) Roy. She graduated from Eveleth High School, and went on to attend the Minnesota School of Business. Renée was united in marriage to Donald Heisel on May 5, 1951, in Eveleth.
Renée worked as a secretary for J&L Mining, and later for the US Forest Service. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Virginia. Renée enjoyed knitting, gardening, and caring for her standard poodles.
Renée is survived by her husband of 60 years: Donald; three sons: Earl (Roslyn) Heisel of Virginia, Brian (Lida) Heisel of Virginia, and Robert (Dawn) Heisel of Britt, MN; five grandchildren: William (April) Heisel, Andrew (Lindsey) Heisel, Alan Heisel, Lindsay (Daniel) Aagenes, and David (Jessica) Heisel; and five great-grandchildren: Brynley, Taylor, Noah, Gabriel, and Sam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother: Joseph; and her sister: Phyllis.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm Memorial Service Friday, February 17, 2012, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Virginia. Pastor Bob Simensen will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia. The family prefers that memorials be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
