Robert John "Sarge" Jylha, age 81 of Hibbing died Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 14, 1934 in Virginia, the son of Fred and Leone (Kehoe) Jylha and attended Virginia Roosevelt High School. Robert was a long time resident of both Hibbing and Virginia and spent some time out west. He served his county in the United States Marine Corps, the United States Air Force and the United States Army; and employed as an over the road furniture mover. Robert was a member of the Virginia Serviceman's Club and a member of the Crellin-Tini VFW Post # 1113. He was very involved in anything military.

Robert is survived by his brother: Ed of Hibbing and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father: Thomas Butler, and a sister in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Calvary Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Virginia Serviceman's Honor Guard.
