Roberta Sue "Robbie" Aluni, age 68 of Virginia, died Friday, June 14, 2013. She was born October 15, 1944 in Virginia, MN the daughter of Harvey A. and Shirley (Carlson) Aluni and attended school in Virginia. Robbie was employed for many years at the Community Work and Development Center (CWDC) in Virginia. She later participated in a variety of fun activities through the Duluth Regional Care Center (DRCC) in Virginia. Robbie enjoyed helping out around the house and going to the family's cabin on Pelican Lake. She liked having neighbors over for coffee and loved spending time with the family pets.
Robbie is survived by her mother: Shirley Aluni of Virginia; brother: Dr. Harvey R. (Marcia) Aluni of Virginia; nieces and nephew: Karen (Troy) Flicek of New Prague, Cheryl (Jeff) Tweten of Duluth, and Brian Aluni of Roseville; grand nieces and nephew Sophia, Clara and Tyler Flicek; and her dogs: Buddy and Teddy Bear.
She was preceded in death by her father: Harvey A. Aluni in 2008.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 in the Gethsemane Lutheran Chapel in Virginia. Pastor Nathan Sager will officiate. Inurnment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
