Roberta Marie "Bobbette" Zattoni, age 83, of Fayal Twp. Ely Lake died unexpectedly Monday, April 6, 2015 in her home. She was born August 1, 1931 in Biwabik, the daughter of Robert and Helen (Maki) Kulaszewicz and was a graduate of Biwabik High School. Roberta married Rudolph "Rudy" Zattoni on May 2, 1953 in Biwabik, and they have resided on Ely Lake since 1954. She was employed as the Fayal Township Clerk for 10 years and served as the assistant clerk in her retirement. Bobbette was a member of the Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth, the Catholic Daughters Court St. Margaret # 1888, the Trentini Club, The Gilbert VFW Woman's Auxiliary, and Woman's Life. She loved to read, was very generous in her giving to many charities, was an active volunteer with the VFW Auxiliary Fundraisers, and spent hours on her glider swing in the front yard. Bobbette's greatest love was her family; she enjoyed cooking for them, spending time with them at her beloved home on Ely Lake, and putting their needs ahead of her own.
Bobbette is survived by her husband of 61 years: Rudy; her mother: Helen Milos of Aurora, MN; children: Gina (Jeff) Hunsinger of Grand Blanc, MI, Peter (Cheryl) Zattoni of Mountain Iron, MN, John (Lynette Wheelock) Zattoni of Eden Prairie, MN and Paul (Deborah) Zattoni of Albertville, MN; grandchildren: Nicholas Hunsinger, Megan (Charles) Venz, Alison (Keith) Koshiol, Breanne Zattoni, Mario Zattoni, Vincent Zattoni, Andrew Zattoni, and Emily Zattoni; great-grandchildren: Rowan, Patrick, Evelyn, Brooklyn, and Tayleigh; siblings: Betty Lou Enquist and Alan Kulaszewicz; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father: Robert, and stepfather, Ludvik Milos.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; with a Rosary prayed at 7:30 p.m. in the Bauman Cron Funeral Home Chapel in Virginia. Visitation will continue Friday, April 10, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth. Reverend Father Charles Flynn will celebrate the Mass. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Memorials are the preferred way to honor Bobbette's memory and may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
