Rodney Royce Graham, age 68, lifelong resident of the Hibbing area, died Monday, October 17, 2016, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born May 12, 1948, in Hibbing the son of Roy and Joyce (Mannila) Graham. He graduated from Hibbing High School. A veteran of the US Army, Rodney served during the Vietnam War. Rodney was united in marriage to "the girl from across the street", Patricia Miller, on August 27, 1977, at the First Presbyterian Church in Hibbing.


Rodney began working at the Sherman Mine where his father taught him to drive the production trucks. He spent most of his career at the warehouse and receiving department of US Steel, Minntac – retiring in 2001. Rodney was a family man and was very supportive of his children and the activities that they were involved in. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Side Lake where he often drove the boat so that others could water ski. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was looking forward to deer hunting again this year.


Rodney is survived by his wife: Patricia; his children: Andy (Katie) Graham, and Crystal Graham (Kevin Pollock); his grandchildren: Clayton, Kalob, Shalyn, Emmily, and Natally; and numerous extended family members and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother: Jerry Graham.


Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the 1:00 pm Celebration of Life Service Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel in Hibbing. The Reverend Lawrence Lee will officiate. Private interment will be in the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery.
