Ronald Omer Cuff, age 67, lifelong resident of Virginia died Sunday, November 20, 2016, while walking out from his deer stand near Ely. He was born July 3, 1949, in Virginia, the son of Robert R. and Genevieve K. (Conaway) Cuff. He graduated from Virginia High School. Ron was united in marriage to Marina Gracco on January 15, 1972, in Eveleth, MN. A Veteran of the United States Navy, Ron served during the Vietnam War.

Ron was a Sgt. and K-9 handler with the Virginia Police Department – retiring after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Iron Range Retriever's Club. Ron enjoyed spending time in the woods, and especially enjoyed hunting.

Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years: Marina; his children: Ronald Jr. (Brenda) Cuff of Marble, MN, Michael Cuff of Virginia, MN, and Tammy Cuff of Virginia, MN; his grandchildren: Kayley, Courtney, and Jeffrey; his step-grandchildren: Skyler, Jesse, and Katie; numerous great-grandchildren; his sister: Lori Cuff (Bob E.) of Forbes, MN; his sister-in-law: Patti Cuff; his niece: Cari Jo (Scott) Miesbauer; his nephew: Jayme (Tamara) Cuff; his good friend: Dennis Altobell; and numerous extend family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his parents-in-law: Otello and Ines Gracco; and his brothers: James, Michael, and David.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the 1:00 pm Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery. Greg Anderson will be the Celebrant. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
