Russell Impila, age 77, longtime resident of Nashwauk, died Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation in Hibbing. He was born June 8th, 1940 in Grand Rapids to Wayne & Norma Impila. He graduated from Nashwauk High School. He enjoyed hard work, hunting, country music and going to the casino.

As owner of Russ's Used Sales, Russ loved a good conversation with his many customers.

Russ is survived by his daughters: Jackie (Larry) Koppes, Viki (Bruce) Monroe; grandchildren: Tony (Raven) Koppes, Tasha Impila, Rachael (Shawn) Morrison, Amanda (Paul) Burdick, Matt (Stacy) Koppes, Ellie Monroe; siblings: Lois Impila, Wayne Impila; 9 great grandchildren and other family members, numerous friends, including Gladys, John, Dean, & Bob.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Rick.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday November 3rd, 2017, at Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel in Hibbing, MN. The Reverend Todd Block will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Nashwauk Cemetery.
