Ruth Dorothy Beystrom, age 77, of Iron and formerly of Lake Fourteen in Britt, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Essentia Health Virginia Convalescent Care Center. She was born August 8, 1941 in Duluth, MN the daughter of Leo and Violet (Duncan) Beystrom. She was a graduate of Virginia High School, and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University.

Ruth Worked as an Elementary Education Teacher, and she volunteered her time in Evergreen Township. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and her many dogs that she owned throughout the years. She especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Ruth is survived by her nephews and niece: Scott (Roxanne) Norcia of Tower, MN, Mark (Susan) Norcia of Austin, TX, Jennifer (Todd) Lauer of Iron, MN, and Alfred Norcia of Maple Grove, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Leah Norcia.

At Ruth's request, no formal services will be held at this time. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia.
