Ruth Miriam Dosen, age 90, longtime resident of Hibbing died Monday, March 28, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She was born September 19, 1925, in Chisholm, MN, the daughter of Victor and Miriam (Laine) Zarich. She graduated from Hibbing High School and went on to Attend Waldorf College and Bemidji State University. She was united in marriage to Louis W. Dosen September 1, 1951, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hibbing.

Ruth Worked as a homemaker but also taught "Head Start" in Hibbing and was a bookkeeper at Zarich Electric. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she enjoyed singing in the Choir. Ruth also enjoyed playing the piano.

Ruth is survived by her children: Willard Dosen of Hibbing, Daniel Dosen of St. Louis Park, MN, Timothy Dosen of Chanhassen, MN, Maria (Marvin) Rice of Avoca, WI, and Annette (Jerry) Varichak of Edgerton, WI; her brothers: Victor (Charlotte) Zarich of Columbia Heights, MN, and David Zarich of Cherry , MN; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Louis in 1985; her sister: Elizabeth "Betty" Peplinski; her daughter-in-law: Lori J. Dosen; and her grandson: Marvin John Rice III.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Sunday, April 3, 2016, at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation will continue Monday, April 4, 2016, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hibbing. The Reverend Kevin Olson will officiate. Interment will be in the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Missionaries that Our Savior's Lutheran Church supports.
