Ryan Mark Johnson, age 43, longtime resident of Eveleth, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. He was born April 16, 1983, in Robbinsdale, MN, the son of Mark and Deborah (Morgan) Johnson. He was a graduate of Eveleth High School, class of 2001.

Ryan was an Eagle Scout, through Troup #111 in Eveleth. He enjoyed the outdoors – especially fishing and hunting.

Ryan is survived by his parents: Mark (Deborah) Johnson of Eveleth; daughter: Lily Johnson, his pride and joy, of Duluth, MN; siblings: Michael Johnson of Eveleth, MN, and Kristin (Mike) Pessenda of Eveleth, MN; niece: Sophia Pessenda of Eveleth, MN; nephew: Max Passenda of Eveleth; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service Friday September 11, 2026 at United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth. Pastor Jeanne Madsen will officiate.
