Shannon Lee {Driscoll} Williams, age 47 of Two Harbors died unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2017 in St. Luke's Medical Center in Duluth. She was born March 4, 1970 in Virginia, MN the daughter of Terry and Jeanne (Stepan) Driscoll, was a graduate of Tower-Soudan High School and the University of North Dakota. Shannon married Darren Williams on September 7, 2013 in Duluth. She was a longtime resident of the Duluth area prior to moving to Two Harbors in 2013. Shannon was employed as an Information Technology Specialist for the city of Duluth, and was the owner/operator of Two Harbors Dog Training. She was a member of the Renegade Riders Saddle Club, the Wild Angels Stables, Twin Ports Dog Training, and had served on the Lake County Fair Board. She loved horses, dogs (especially her standard poodles), animals of all kinds, obedience training dogs, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking, hunting, cross country skiing, skating, and all things outdoors. Shannon played the piano, loved music, attending concerts, staying in touch by social media, and reading. She loved life.


Shannon is survived by her husband Darren Williams of Two Harbors, parents: Terry and Jeanne Driscoll of Tower, sisters: Erin (Terry) Peitso of Soudan and Courtney Wefel of St. Paul; mother and father-in-law: Jim and Chris Williams; brother and sisters-in-law: Tina, Amy, Patti, Ryan, and Tracy; numerous nieces and nephews including: Jordan, Hannah, Bryanna, Payton, and Tristan; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.


She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Michael and Ferne Driscoll; maternal grandparents: John and Marion Stepan; two siblings in infancy, and aunts and uncles.


The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tower. Reverend Father Drew Braun will be the celebrant. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon at the Church. Inurnment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in Tower.


In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and may be directed to the Renegade Riders Saddle Club.
