Sharon Ann (nee Wade) Hanson, age 73, longtime resident of Hibbing and formerly of Chokio, MN, died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl. She was born April 23, 1943, in Morris, MN, the daughter of Norman and Grace (Williamson) Wade. She graduated from Chokio High School. Sharon was united in marriage to Sidney Lane Hanson on May 21, 1961 in Chokio.

Sharon was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family and attending their activities and sporting events. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She was an accomplished seamstress who made special gifts and craft projects for family and friends. After Sid passed away of Alzheimer's, Sharon became involved with a caregiver support group at Range Respite, and eventually became a facilitator.

Sharon is survived by her children: Donald (Terri) Hanson of Hibbing, Dan "Sid" (Paula Zachman) Hanson of Orono, MN, Wade "Putter" (Karol) Hanson of Lakeville, MN, and Mary (Jerome) Koetter of Swanville, MN; her grandchildren: Alyssa (Mike) Yrjo, Mitch , Christian, Adam, Andrew, and Abby Hanson, Travis (Thalia Cervantes), Stephanie, Ellie, and Matthew Koetter; great-grandchildren: Ryker and Kolter Yrjo; brothers: Elwood (Carol) Wade of St. Cloud, MN, Norman Wade of Park Rapids, MN, Fran Brown of St. Paul, MN, and Jim Brown of Kandiyohi, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Sid; her brother: Luverne; and her daughter-in-law: Karen.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service Monday, October 24, 2016, at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
