Sheryl L. "Shoo" Vance, age 50, of Buhl died unexpectedly Sunday, August 10, 2014, in St. Luke's Medical Center in Duluth. She was born December 17, 1963, in Santa Rosa, CA the daughter of Darnea Sr. and Alexandria (Stashuk) Olson. She graduated from Buhl High School and went on to receive a degree in Textile and Apparel Management from Hibbing Community College. She was united in marriage to Kevin Patrick Vance on February 14, 2005 in Hibbing.
Shoo was a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed baking, sewing, cooking, camping. Foremost was her love of her family and family traditions.
Shoo is survived by her husband: Kevin; her mother: Alexandria Olson; her children: Nora Uhrbom and Jeffrey Rusco of Hibbing, and Randi Smith of Myrtle Creek, OR; her grandchildren: Mickey Pearson, Morgan Pearson, Savannah Franklin, Kaileb Laugen, Jared Laugen, and Skilar Smith; her siblings: Liz (Peter) Anderson of Brownfield, TX, Darnea Olson Sr. of Hibbing, Anna (Doug) Wakefield of Hibbing, and Nikki Evans of Ironwood, MI; nieces and nephews: Christina (Brandon) Aubrey, Darnea Olson Jr., Darian Olson, Nathan Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Sara Jarva, Anthone Evans, Alyssa Espe, Hunter Wakefield, Steven Olson, Randi Deitz, Sara (Chris) Holt; great nieces & nephews: Suzie Aubrey, Miles Aubrey and Mason Aubrey.
She was preceded in death by her father: Darnea Olson Sr.; her daughter: Elizabeth Jasinsky; and her grandparents: Knute & Grace Olson, and Michail & Marie Stashuk.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the 4:00 pm memorial service Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the 1st Lutheran Church in Buhl. The Rev. Dr. David Stevens will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.
