Shirley Rae Jones, 84, Hibbing, MN went to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday, March 15, 2018, at her home surrounded by family, in Hibbing, MN. She was born in Leon, KS to Preston and Maude (Booher) Johnson on February 4, 1934. Shirley had worked with the City of Hibbing Joint Recreation Board and Kmart after having raised her family. She was a stay-at-home mom and devoted wife and wonderful homemaker and cook. She was very active in the Village Church during the 50's and 60's and later in the Hibbing Alliance Church in Hibbing as church librarian.
She will be missed by her husband: Richard B; children: Debra Pittman Clarkston, WA, Richard K (Mariela), Rock Springs, WY, Mark R, (Loretta Peterson) Esko, MN; siblings: Gayle Keely, Topeka, KS, Marlene (Larry) Mills, Elk City, KS, Marjo Baker, Fruitland, NM; grand children: Amanda (Bryan) Drangin, Brighton, MI, Austin Pittman, Oakland, CA, Paden Pittman, Seattle, WA, Jesse (Amy) Pittman, Clarkston, WA, Alyssa (Dylan Linde) Pittman, Las Vegas, NV, Linda, Sara, and Ben Peterson, Esko, MN, Alejandra and Samaria Portillo, El Astor, Guatemala; great grandchildren: Chase and Dylan Drangin, Brighton, MI, Bennett and Noah Pittman, Clarkston, WA; and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, March 18, 2018, in the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery at 11:00 am Monday, March 19, 2018. Steve Tomberlin (Hospice Chaplain) will officiate.
