Shirley A. Lamppa, age 74 of Embarrass, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Willowood Memory Care in Eveleth. She was born August 30, 1936 in Iron River, WI the daughter of Almon Emmett and Ethel Rogers Stafford; and was a graduate of Iron River High School. She married William R. Lamppa on March 27, 1956; and they made their home Virginia, Moundsview, and Embarrass, MN. Shirley was a homemaker and an accomplished singer and guitarist. She loved nature, gardening, berry picking, and her pets.
Shirley is survived by her husband: William; sons: Jason (Kirsten) Lamppa of St. Paul and Clayton Lamppa of Embarrass; sister: Connie (Mel) Agen of Ashland; brother: Gene (June) Stafford of Iron River, WI; and grandson: Joshua Lamppa.
Her parents and a brother preceded her in death: Jerry Stafford.
A Private Family Gathering will be held in the Spring.
Inurnment will be in the Embarrass Cemetery.
