With deepest sympathy and sorrow, we regret the passing of Sidney Orville Adams. Sid was born April 18, 1942 and passed on March 16, 2024, surrounded by family and the great staff at Vermilion Assisted Living.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Peter and Florence Adams; Brother: Robert "Chuckie" Adams; sister: Cheryl; and uncle: Melvin Sinclair.

Surviving family members are sisters: Gladys Averill and Marlene (David) Farmer; brothers: Ronald (Vivian), Gary (Linda) and Gordon (Barbara); extended family: Kathy, April, Antonella, and Ava.

Sidney had the true meaning of recovery. He enjoyed watching hockey, working on his cabin, drinking coffee and having a cigarette on his deck, while watching the lake and the birds. Sid would drive around in his truck checking on family and friends and most often, not stopping, just looking. He had strong cultural views and values.

Tribal Rites and viewing will be held at the Vermilion Wellness Center on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Vernon Adams will be the Spiritual Advisor.
