Sonya Leigh Lono, age 53 of Virginia died very unexpectedly Saturday, May 23, 2015. She was born September 9, 1961 in Leland, MS the daughter of George and Adney Evans. She lived in Wyoming prior to moving to Virginia in 2004. Sonya attended the True Hope Christian Fellowship in Virginia, and enjoyed fishing, listening to BB King, and was a very caring person.
Sonya is survived by her husband: Dan Raitt, father: George Evans, children: Bobby Beard, Samantha Lono, and Savannah Lono; siblings: Rose (Chris) Hand and their daughter Kristina, and Lloyd Worthy; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Adney; daughter: Sonarette; and nine siblings.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Joel Kallberg will officiate.
