Stanley Jerald Daniels, age 71, longtime resident of Hibbing died Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in his home surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 25, 1946 in Glenwood, MN the son of Jerald and Annabelle (Lattimer) Daniels. He attended Hibbing High School, leaving early in order to serve in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

Stan was the Rapid Response Coordinator for United Steelworkers District 11. Prior to that, he was at Eveleth Taconite for more than 30 years as a Millwright, and later as the Union president for USW Local 6860. He attended First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. Stan was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, a lifetime member of the VFW, and a former board member for the AFL-CIO of Minnesota. Stan loved the outdoors and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved spending time out at the hunting shack whenever he could.

Stan is survived by his children: Chad (Stephanie) Daniels of Hibbing, and Kara (Clayton Nenadich) Daniels of Hibbing; grandchildren: Casey Daniels, Ashley Daniels, Isaac Daniels, Ryder Grove, and Eli Mehle; siblings: JoAnn (Gary) Norenberg of Hibbing, Tom (Sue) Daniels of Hibbing, and Terry (Mary) Daniels of Forest Lake, MN; and numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Patricia in 2017; and his brother: James E. Daniels.

Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the 12:30 pm Celebration of Life Service Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. Greg Anderson will be the Celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery.
