Steven Joseph Jones, age 54 of Virginia died unexpectedly on Monday, August 29, 2016 in Essentia Health- Virginia. He was born March 7, 1963 in Duluth, the son of David and Cora (Worrall) Jones and grew up in Duluth and Eveleth. Steve was a graduate of Eveleth High School, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, animals, and time with is faithful canine companion, Remy.

Steve is survived by his father: David Jones of Hayward, WI, siblings: Michael Jones of Chisholm, Donald (Lynn) Jones of Duluth, and Karen (Gary) Petrich of Hayward, WI; life partner: Annie Jones of Virginia; sons: Tyler Anderson and Timothy Thomas; grandchildren: Aleeyah Lambert and Adrien Peters, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mom: Cora Jones.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home in Virginia. Chaplain Daniel Triestman will officiate. A gathering time for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service.
