Obituary

Terry Allen Loe, age 76, of Tower and formerly of Aurora and Slayton, MN died Saturday, September 22, 2012, in his home on Lake Vermilion following a courageous 7-year battle with cancer. He was born February 14, 1936, in Haywarden, IA, the son of Ted and Irene (Schlumbohm) Loe. He graduated from high school in Slayton, MN. Terry was united in marriage to Georgia Mae Smith on May 12, 1955 in Fulda, MN.

Terry worked as a Railroad Supervisor for the Erie Mining Co. (LTV), retiring after 40 years of service. He also owned and operated his own excavation business. Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a "jack of all trades" and a "Mr. fix-it".

Terry is survived by his wife: Georgia; his son: Brad (Cindy) Loe of Aurora; his daughters: Renee (Bob) Marconett of Canyon, MN, and Stacie Loe of Hibbing, MN; a sister: Janice (Arvid) Behrens of Elysian, MN; two brothers: Rod (Toots) Loe of Ely, MN, and Bill (Alice) Loe of Minneapolis; and three grandchildren: Nate Miller, Ashley Loe, and Alex Loe.

A private family celebration of Terry's life will be held at a later date.
