Biography

Theodore Nick (Ted) Chanak, age 61, of Hibbing one of God's specially gifted children fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, with his loving family of caretakers by his side. Ted was born on May 26, 1951, in Hibbing to Judge Nicholas and Mrs. Sophie (Dicklich) Chanak. Ted was a long time member of the Range Center of Chisholm family and resided in the Group Homes that they operated since 1997. He has resided at Frasier Home in Hibbing since 2004.

Ted was an active resident at the Range Center in Chisholm. He was a member of St. Archangel Michael's Serbian Orthodox Church in Hibbing.

Ted is survived by his brother: Robert (Beverly) Harding of Las Vegas, NV; Sister-in-law: Darlene Harding of Chisholm; six nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

His parents, and his brother, Richard V. Harding preceded him in death.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 17, 2012 at St.
Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Hibbing with Visitation at 9:00 am. Services will be conducted by Fr. Kristjan Petrovich. Honorary Casketbearers will be David Sutkowy, Brian Polla, and Keneth Ingelin.
