Thomas Henry "Tom" Morgan, age 81 a lifelong resident of Virginia died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the Essentia Medical Center – Virginia. He was born May 3, 1933 in Virginia the son of William H. and Ada (Corkill) Morgan and was a graduate of Virginia Roosevelt High School. Tom was employed as an electrician for US Steel Minntac for 35 years and was a special needs driver for the Virginia Public School District for 20+ years. He was a member of the Northern Club, a former member of the Virginia Moose Lodge, enjoyed Tuesday coffee with friends at Bob & Barbs and Wednesday coffee with friends at Hattie's. Tom was a bowler for many years, enjoyed fishing, taking long walks, hunting at the Rack Shack, spending time with his faithful companion: Weena, and was a proud Manxman from the Isle of Man.
Tom is survived by his son: Brian (Denise) Morgan of Mt. Iron, daughter: Sue (Jim Ames) Norlander of Virginia; grandchildren: Brittany (Luke) Chopp, Brooke (Bryan Hunt) Morgan, John Morgan, Tom Norlander, and Kelsey Norlander; great-granddaughter: Blakely Chopp; special friend: Penny Stecker and her family: Dana (Tom) Hiltunen and Tye Hiltunen; sister: Barbara Lundin of Durango, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Thomas Jeffery "Tommy" Morgan; and siblings: William Albert Morgan, Dorothy Carlson Johnson, Shirley Shaw, Jean Nelson, Mona Tonnacour, Douglas Morgan, and Patricia Horoshak.
A Gathering time for family and friends will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church in Virginia. Pastor Nathan Sager will officiate. Inurnment will take place at the Calvary Cemetery.
