Thomas G. Sacco, a lifelong resident of Hibbing, MN died peacefully on September 9, 2017 in Duluth, MN at St. Luke's Hospital.

He was born to Thomas & Jean Sacco (Chiaravalle) in Hibbing on Sept. 4, 1941. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1962. He married Sandra Lee Sullivan on December 17, 1966, in Malone, New York. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Plattsburgh, NY from 1962 - 1966. He worked at Eveleth Taconite for 7 years, and retired in 2001 from the Hibbing Public Utilities after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas & Jean Sacco.

He is survived by his wife Sandra, his son Joseph M. Sacco (Cindi Lamusga) of Hibbing, his daughter Christina Zelinski (Dan) of Overland Park, KS; his brother Joseph T. Sacco (Jan) of Minneapolis, sisters Anita Krollman (Richard), & Brenda Sacco LeVasseur (Richard) all of Hibbing; six grandchildren: Thomas J. Sacco of Hibbing, Zach and Sofia Zelinski of Overland Park, KS, Jenna Lamusga-Sacco, Zach Lamusga, and Lola and Opal Valeri Sacco of Hibbing; and twelve nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at Chisholm Baptist Church in Chisholm, MN. Visitation will take place one hour before the service, 10:00am, at Chisholm Baptist Church. Pastor Dan Erickson will officiate. Interment will take place in the Hibbing Park Cemetery immediately after the service. Pallbearers will be: Jospeh T. Sacco (brother), Daniel Zelinski (son-in-law), Richard LeVasseur (brother-in-law), Jim Halberg (friend), Thomas J. Sacco (grandson), and Zach Zelinski (grandson), Nick Sacco (nephew), Alex Sacco (nephew). Honorary pallbearer is: Richard Krollman (brother-in-law).

Tom was a man who enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting, with his family and close friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. If you met Tom for the first time, he came across as a bear. As you got to know him, you realized he was a large teddy bear at heart. For those who knew him well, he'll be especially missed for his generous spirit, a smile that could brighten anyone's day, and his large brown laughing eyes. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and left a strong Christian heritage for his family. Tom will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.
