Obituary


Toy Yet Jue, age 95 of Virginia died Thursday, February 15, 2018 in the Essentia Virginia Convalescent Center. She was born March 27, 1922 in Canton, China; the daughter of Wing and Cheung (Woo) Der. Toy immigrated to Chicago in 1962 to join her father and her husband Wah Feung Jue. They owned and operated restaurants in Chicago prior to moving to Virginia in 1976 where they helped in the family business, Jue's Chinese Restaurant and Lounge. Toy liked to sew and knit; but her greatest joy was found with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she adored.


Toy is survived by children: Stella (Kam) Chan of Chicago, Steve (Amy) Jue of Virginia, Susan (Robert) Baker of White Bear Lake, and May (Daniel) Peterlin of Eveleth; grandchildren: Shirley (Chris) Volk, Lucy Chan, Lisa Fix, Michael (Sara) Jue, Nancy (Corey) Kwiatkowski, Linda (Desmond) Rodgers, Nicholas (Elsa) Baker, Brianna Baker, Jenna Baker, Justin Baker, Nicole Peterlin, and Derek (Claire) Peterlin; great-grandchildren: Sophia, Liese, Cloie, Ty, Amara, Adel, Azalea, Evan, Hunter, Rylee, Nola, Owen, and Olivia; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including special friends Shirley Hall and Linda Snyder.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Wah Feung Jue in 1995; brother: Sam Woo; and an infant son.


The Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Bauman will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
