In Loving Memory of Tracey Colleen (O'Connell) Burchell
On June 22, 2026, the world lost a truly remarkable soul as Tracey Burchell departed this life at the age of 62. Tracey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
Tracey was Born on January 22, 1964, in Eveleth, Minnesota to Conrad and Irene O'Connell.
Tracey was a beacon of warmth and grace, known for her radiant smile and friendly demeanor that could light up the darkest of days. Tracey's life was filled with simple pleasures and profound connections. She found joy in spending time with family and friends, tending to her vibrant garden, attending church services that nourished her spirit and whatever activities life threw her way. She was a familiar face at Menards, where she worked. She was delighted in meeting new people and hearing about their day to day life experiences. Tracey took pride in her home. It was a reflection of her creativity and love. She always loved doing house projects, turning every space of hers into a warm and inviting place to be.
Once you stepped foot into her house, you felt like you were in a warm cozy cabin deep in the woods. She would always say if she could have one thing in life, it would be a cabin! She took great pride and pleasure in making her home feel like the "cabin" she always dreamed of.
The essence of Tracey was her genuine care for others, a quality that endeared her to everyone she met. Her ability to make others feel valued and heard was unmatched, and her legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. Tracey's legacy lives on through her 2 cherished grandchildren, Kinsley and Karter, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.
She is survived by her Son, Evan (Mekeala) Burchell; Granddaughter, Kinsley; Grandson, Karter; her surviving Sisters Anna, Mary, Pamela, Patrica, and Sherrie; Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family, and a circle of friends too numerous to count.
She is preceded in death by her parents Conrad and Irene, Brother, Micheal; Sister, Roseali; Sister, Diana; Brother, Randolph; and Brother, Conrad.
A celebration of Tracey's life will be held on July 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at North Star Church, 302 2nd Ave North, Virginia, MN 55792. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to gather and honor a life well-lived, a life that brought light and love to so many.
Tracey will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and light will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
