Travis M. Nowak, age 23, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Thursday, November 10, 2016, at his home. He was born September 28, 1993, in Hibbing the son of Michael and Shelly Nowak. Travis graduated from Hibbing High School in 2013 and soon after enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. He attained the rank of Corporal and was stationed in Okinawa and South Korea. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and photography. Travis was a member of the "North 40" sportsman's club.

Travis is survived by his mother: Shelly (Scott) Hanson of Hibbing; his father: Michael Nowak of Hibbing; his brothers: Taylor Skalsky of Rogers, MN, and Tanner Nowak of Duluth, MN; his maternal grandmother: Gail Adams of Hibbing; his maternal grandfather: John Amundsen of Farmington, MO; his paternal grandparents: Mike (Joan) Nowak of Hibbing; his grandmother: Dorothy Drazich of Duluth, MN; his aunts and uncles: Sam (Abby) Adams of Hibbing, Flynn Adams of Hibbing, April (Mark) Waldhoff of Iron, MN, Rick Nowak of Hibbing, Lynette Nowak of Hibbing, and Ed (Mara) Nowak of Petaluma, CA; his step-family of aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.

A Memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Open Door Church in Hibbing. Pastor Roland Weaver will officiate. A Gathering time for family and friends will be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Church.
