Vernon Kenneth Hocking, age 63, of Hibbing died peacefully August 27, 2026, in his home. He was born August 12, 1963, in Hibbing the son of Kenneth and Judith (Wollin) Hocking. He was a graduate of Hibbing High School. Vernon worked as a maintenance handyman in Hibbing. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking.

Vernon is survived by his parents: Kenneth and Judith Hocking; daughter: Tru Hocking; son: Hunter Sayre; brother: Armand (Nicky) Hocking; sister: Ginger (Kenneth) Wilcox; good friend: Chico Maki; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by infant siblings: Kevin and Kim Hocking.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
